The Washington National Cathedral is a striking Episcopal church in the gothic revival architecture style located near Northwest DC. In addition to the front, there are several lesser known areas such on either side of the church with gardens, fountains, and gazebos, making it a prime photo spot. After purchasing the $15 entrance fee, the cathedral is open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. every day.

Meadowlark Botanical Gardens is located in Vienna, VA and is a beautiful option for pictures. With a variety of flora, bridges, gazebos and lakes, this spot is an ideal location for those who do not want to drive to DC. It is open from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. There is an admission fee of $4 for ages 6-17 and $8 for ages 18-54.

 

Culture House – Culture House DC, 700 Delaware Ave SW, Washington, DC 20024

Culture House DC is a funky art gallery and popular venue in Southwest DC. This former church is uniquely painted and provides a colorful backdrop option for those looking for an eclectic vibe for their Prom pictures. The inside gallery is open to the public from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday’s.

 

National Arboretum – United States National Arboretum

The National Arboretum is 451 acres of public garden in northeast DC for a majestic Prom shoot open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. every day. Within, there are many different gardens but the most famous marker of the arboretum are The National Capitol Columns in the Ellipse Meadow.
