R. Kelly verdict…guilty
Robert Sylvester Kelly has been found guilty of sex trafficking’s and racketeering. The R&B singer sat in court on Sept. 27, motionless waiting for his verdict. This comes as many victims, even ones that are underage, have come out accusing him of sexual assault and sexual abuse since 1994.
His case sparked an interview back in March 9, 2019 with Gale King where he lunged out of his seat ranting the line ”Y’all killin me with this.”
After the verdict R. Kelly went onto social media stating he’s innocent and vowing to fight for his freedom.
His ex wife came out after the verdict ”my heart definitely goes out to the survivors and the courage it takes to come out and tell the story.”
Drea Kelly was married to R. Kelly for 13 years and had three children with the disgraced singer and like many of R. Kelly’s victims experienced abuse in their relationship.
She also came out saying how after the verdict, her position as a mother is going to be challenging saying, ”His blood runs through my children’s veins, it’s a part of their DNA they can’t escape it even if they wanted to.” R.Kelly will be facing 54 to life years in prison, his sentence will start in May.
