Pizza Policy misses the mark

A margarita pizza

Pizza Policy is a restaurant located in D.C. For breakfast, this restaurant serves burritos, sandwiches and cookies. For dinner and lunch, they serve pizza, salads, hoagies, and sides like fries and wings.

They don’t have a place to dine inside the restaurant, but they do have a lovely outdoor seating arrangement that is great to sit at when the weather is nice. This restaurant is very casual, which makes it a great place to have a meal with your friends. Unfortunately, they do not have curbside pickup, but you can pick up your order at the counter.

I got the margarita pizza and a small case of cajun fries as a side. One thing to note is that they only have one size for the pizzas. The pizza was mostly good: the crust, bread and toppings were great, but the cheese on the pizza was very oily. The cajun fries were great: they had just the right amount of seasoning and had a great consistency.

One problem was the service. I got carry-out, and I had to wait 25 minutes for my food so I would recommend ordering way ahead of time. The price for one margarita pizza and a small side of fries was 20 dollars, which is very steep because the pizza wasn’t big at all.

Fortunately, their dine-in was very clean and well tended to, which is impressive considering it’s outside. You can order on a phone call, online or by just walking up and giving your order.

Overall, Pizza Policy is not worth going to. I would give them a two of five because their food is not that good, the wait time is very long, the price is too high, and service is mediocre. If you do want to give it a chance, they are located at 1335 14th street NW Washington, D.C. They are open from 8 a.m through 8 p.m on Mondays through Wednesdays, 10 a.m. through 9 p.m on Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m on Sundays.
