Last Weekend I…

Last weekend my friends and I went to Rehoboth Beach. Medhane, Cassandra, Amir [rising seniors],and I spontaneously decided to take a day trip to the beach.

I wanted to go to Rehoboth Beach because it is not crowded and it is a lot cleaner than Virginia Beach. After the three hour long car ride we arrived at Rehoboth and we immediately sprinted into the waves.

The water was freezing since it was still early in the day, but we forced ourselves to stay in and soon enough we got used to the ice cold water. Cassandra and I got extremely burnt and instead of a eye-catching glow we got bubbly peeling skin.

Even with our burning skin we still had a great time eating board walk fries, riding the waves, and burying each other into the sand. I even took a nap on the beach, which was something I had always wanted to do and it was really relaxing, even though it did not help my sunburn. The boardwalk was also a lot of fun because we walked around for a couple hours and visited various stores and bought souvenirs for our friends. There was an arcade on the boardwalk, and even though it was a bit overpriced, it was really cool because there were mini roller coasters and a photo booth, where we took a lot of pictures.

We ended up having so much fun that we lost track of time and my car got a parking ticket because the meter had reached its time limit. At the end of the day, I did not care about the parking ticket because the day trip to the beach was by far the best weekend of summer yet.
