Earth Month at Union Festival
This festival is held all month with interactive environmentally friendly events to educate on environment sustainability.
With the scheduled events, there will be multiple exhibits that will present a variety of innovative programs and events known across the country.
This event is held by the Earth Day Network and part of the festival includes a film festival, farmer’s market and a green fashion show.
When: All month long from April 1 to April 30
Where: Although some events will be located in different areas, the main location is Union Station and more specifically: 50 Massachusetts Avenue, NE. Washington, DC
The Francophonie Cultural Festival
This festival features six weeks of a massive amount of theatrical performances, films, culinary tastings and children’s workshops.
This festival resonates with a French theme and is a great way to explore the cultural and creative artistry of french speaking countries.
When: this event will end soon, on April 13 as it has been available since March 1
Where: Different exhibits and theaters will be holding shows in partnership with the festival and are available online.
Filmfest D.C.
Showcasing a wide range of new films from around the world, Filmfest D.C. is known for the opening and closing night events, discussions with the directors of the films, and free programs for children and seniors.
The theme of the festival is Trust No One: Espionage and Thrillers and The Lighter Side.

Admission: Most admissions are $11 per person, but there are several films available for free on a first come first serve basis.
