Who am I?- Issue 3
I was born in…
Annapolis, Maryland
I went to school at…
South River High School and the University of Virginia (Go hoos!)
The music I like to listen to is…
I have a very eclectic taste in music. One minute I’ll be listening to pop, then country, then oldies but goodies, then early 2000’s, then folk, some reggae, and some rock.
My favorite movies are…
Since it is the holiday season, Elf is by far my favorite holiday movie! I also can quote Pirates of the Caribbean by heart…
What made you want to become a teacher?
After college, I coached lacrosse at Lehigh and Virginia Tech. It was rewarding, but not the pathway I wanted. I have always loved helping kids learn and seeing the smile on their face when they accomplish something for the first time. Plus, my mother was a teacher for over 35 years.
Some fun facts about me are…
I’m an only child, and have no cousins. Holidays are very small and quiet at my house!
What do you enjoy doing outside of school?
I love to coach/play lacrosse, shopping, exploring local towns on day trips, hiking, paddle boarding or really anything that keeps me outside and active!
Anything else that would help people get to know you!
I played goalie in lacrosse at the University of Virginia.
