Sophomores Hassa Koroma and Tim Johnson have been together for a year and 10 months. They have been dating since 8th grade and were friends for 8 months before they became a couple. They started dating after Johnson asked Koroma to “make it official” on Oovoo after talking and texting regularly.

For the couple, transitioning from middle school to high school was a big step. Koroma was worried both of them would be busy and not be able to see each other as often. Since they since are best friends, adjusted well. They go to church together and also go on dates.

“My advice for other couples is to trust each other, don’t take things for granted, don’t be clingy. Lastly don’t put your relationship out there because people will want to ruin it” Koroma said.
