It’s the holidays and almost every student is looking forward for the break. If you’re lucky, none of your teachers assigned you homework. However many students will get homework and it can be difficult to do it all with such a lengthy time away from school. These tips will help you complete your tasks and still have a relaxing break.
1. Asses the homework you received
Look into your planner and see what type of homework you have been given. Is it a minor worksheet or an essay? This will help you know if you should start early or later.
2. Schedule your time
Are you going out of town, or just staying home? If you plan on having a busy break, schedule homework time at the least busiest times like in the morning. You can also bring homework along with you if you plant on traveling. If you don’t have a very busy break then just try to get it done before a certain time, because you could end up procrastinating.
3. Reward yourself
To motivate yourself, try the reward system. A lot of homework can become overwhelming but if you break it down into chunks and have a reward system, then it will not seem as bad. Treat yourself with either holiday treats or a movie.
4. Do your homework
Don’t spend your New Year’s Day doing the homework that you wished you started earlier. This weekend spend time finishing you any assignments you received. Your holiday season will feel more stressful if you push everything back until the day before school starts again. It may not seem very appealing, but you will thank yourself later.
Don’t focus too much on homework, but get it done. Just make sure to relax and have a fulfilling winter break.
