The Atoms baseball team faced a tough loss against W.T. Woodson Cavaliers on April 29th.
“The game didn’t go as we had hoped. We were hoping to play a game with Woodson like we did last time,” sophomore Alex Brennan said.
At the top of the first inning the Cavaliers took the lead 1-0 against the Atoms. In the bottom of the fifth the Atoms had a chance to score however they left two stranded on base and were unable to bring them home.
“The outfield did a great job on catchings hit out there which gave us outs to get out of the inning,” Brennan said.
Liam Conroy pitched in the first inning, Ryan Gammon pitched in the second inning, and Ethan Zimmerman pitched in the fourth inning.
The final score left the Atoms trailing the Cavaliers 15-0.
