“It’s really exciting, I worked really hard,” senior Isabelle Yaroch said as she signed her letter of intent to play softball at Queens College in Flushing New York.
“Shes worked really, really hard. She gave up a lot of things by her own choice and it came with a lot of sacrifice,” Isabelle’s mother, Rita Yaroch, said citing having practices twice a day on some days.
The Queens College Knights compete at the highly competitive division two level and are in the East Coast Conference.
“We just pushed her and guided her and taught her proper mechanics and she responded well,” Keith Tasaka, University of Mary Washington pitching coach and Isabelle’s own pitching coach said.
Yaroch will continue to pitch for the Atoms this spring and hopes to continue her dominance on the mound after a 12-9 season last spring.
