Senior Jazmine Bounds is a rising photographer at AHS. She is one of many students in the IB photography program here at AHS. Below is a Q&A with Bounds and a few of her photos.
Q: How long have you been taking photography?
A: I’ve been in photography since my junior year. I took Photo 1 and now as a senior I’m in Photo 2 and IB photography.
Q: What got you interested in photography?
A: I liked seeing all the pictures my friends were taking and I wanted to try it out myself. I ended up really being able to express myself.
Q: Do you prefer black and white or color photography?
A: I think it all depends on the picture, but I usually like black and white better. Sometimes though color is the way to go.
Q: What kind of camera do you shoot with?
A: I shoot digitally with a Sony a300 and with a film Canon AE-1.
Q: What is your favorite subject to take pictures of?
A: I love taking pictures of people, especially with using cool features like crazy makeup.
Q: Do you hope to continue photography in college?
A: I plan on continuing photography in the future, not necessarily professionally, but I definitely want to continue.
