As the year of 2012 winds down into the holiday season, the winter sports teams are winding up for their winter season. Each team is readying for the first competitions of the winter, starting in these next few weeks.
The Swim and Dive team has been readying for their first meet, on Friday, Nov. 30th, against the South County Stallions.
“I’m ready for the meet, but I’m hoping that we can do well enough to beat South County and get our first win,” Junior J.C. Clark said.
The team has been preparing for a few weeks now, and practice every day of the week to condition their swimmers into prime shape.
The meet, which was from 7 PM to around 10:30 PM, ended with the Boys’ Swim and Dive team winning their meet, and the Girls’ team losing by only a fraction.
“The meet was great, and I thought both teams did amazingly. We had great times and did really well for our first meet of the year,” Junior Michael Sgrecci said.
The team is looking forward to their next meet on Nov. 7th, and hope that they can do as well against the next team than they did against this team.
