AHS Choir Heads into Flurry of Concerts
As we head into the final week of the calendar school year, the AHS choir is looking forward to showcasing their talents in a series of concerts this week.
“I’m most excited for our Willard hotel gig and everyone’s been working hard with Mr. Vaughn to make sure we can sing the best that we can,” junior TK Decareou said. “I think we have a strong collaborative group and I am looking forward to paying off our hard work throughout our performances this week.”
The concerts are set to begin on Tuesday, Dec. 13 with the Gaudete (Rejoice) winter concert at 7 p.m. The Annandale Singers, Atom Chorale, Men’s Chorale, and the Chamber Ensemble will all participate in the concert.
The show rolls onto the Noonday Noel on Wednesday, Dec. 14., as the Annandale Singers and the Chamber Ensemble will perform at the Old Presbyterian Meeting House at 12:05 p.m.
Lastly, the Annandale Singers head to the lobby of the Willard Hotel on Friday, Dec. 16 to perform their winter caroling. The performance will take place across two sets from 5:30-6:15 p.m. and 6:45-7:30 p.m.
“I’m excited to perform my duet and solo piece for the Willard since it’s all Christmas Carols,” senior Hannah Vaughn said.
The Atoms have been hard at work to the point in the year, and they hope that their diligent preparation will be showcased in their upcoming performances.
