Laptop collection scheduled for June 1
Due to Covid-19 abruptly ending the school year, students were not able to turn in AHS property like laptops and textbooks. While a date is still being decided on students returning textbooks, the laptop collection day will be on June 1.
The laptop collection will only be for seniors unless a student is leaving FCPS. The collection will be split into two times. The first time will be for last names A to M from 9 to 11 am. The second time will be for last names N to Z from 12 to 2 pm.
Students are asked to drop off their laptops, chargers, and MiFi devices. Laptop bags will not be accepted.
AHS staff will be in front of the main entrance. Minimal contact is the goal during the collection, so students will leave immediately after turning in their laptops. All students should wear a mask to limit the spread of Covid-19.
“I never used my school laptop so I can’t say I’ll miss it. I’m probably going to go super early so I can try to avoid coming into contact with people. Also, I’ll be wearing a mask and gloves,” senior Megan Le said.
Any technology obligations that students have will be cleared or submitted by June 2.
