Free COVID-19 testing available this weekend
On Saturday, May 23, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Virginia Department of Health and Fairfax County Health Department will be providing free drive-through and walk-up COVID-19 testing.
In addition, Bailey’s Elementary School will be providing testing from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 24.
These community clinics are aiming to reduce the spread of coronavirus at a time where the number of hospitalizations due to the virus rises. In the 22003 zipcode alone, there are 714 cases among a population of 55,990. This is a rate of 1,275.2 cases per 100,000 persons.
This testing event is meant to be for people who would otherwise not have access to care and testing resources.
There is no doctor referral or appointment needed. Identification is not necessary. Spanish speakers will be onsite. One must be two years or older to be tested.
