Place your bids for the PTSA auction
Annandale High’s PTSA is currently organizing a PTSA online auction, scheduled to go live starting on February 14th and ending on February 28th. A preview of the goods will go online on February 1st and ends on the 13th.
Some notables items of last year’s auction include restaurant gift cards, summer pool memberships, and oddly enough… even orthodontist services!
“Some prizes (for this upcoming auction) that will be available are, a Westinghouse Roku 40” TV, HP desktop printer, lots of restaurant gift cards, certificates for various services and experiences, items for the home, and many more!” Said Ms. Carol, a member organizing the PTSA auction.
This annual online auction is one of the more important fundraising events of the organization. The main point for this event is to provide money for the All Nights Graduation Celebration that the PTSA is organizing.
“It’s a special and memorable night for us 2020 seniors to spend together before we go out and face life,” Said senior Deborah Trejo.
The Graduation Celebration boasts a variety of different activities for the Senior Class, such as a photo booth, pools for swimming, a DJ, Walley Ball, an inflatable obstacle course, caricature artists, an all night buffet, a hypnotist, massage therapy, airbrush tattoos, and a room for video games.
“I love the idea, and I’m really excited for these activities, because we’re all going to do our own things after graduation, who knows when we’ll cross paths,” senior Muhammad Ahmed said.
The tickets are $35 through February 28th, after this date, the price will increase by 10, Ticket Forms are available in the front office or online.
This 2020 AHS Grads only event will be held on June 4, 2020, at Audrey Moore RECenter. Doors close at 12:30 am and no student is allowed to leave prior to 5:00 am.
An additional donation of goods for this auction is encouraged by the PTSA. This might include everything handmade or store bought, as long as it is new. Some examples being electronics, technology, and also services such as car care, pet care, salon service.
Bring your donations to Annandale High School’s office. When donating, please make sure to include the value of your donated good(s), name, address, and a way to contact you. The deadline for all donations is on January 24th, 2020.
