Orchestra hosts their first bake sale of the year
The monthly orchestra bake sale is off to a start! The bake sale took place on October eighth in front of the auditorium. Every month the orchestra hosts a bake sale in order to fund their program. They sell treats such as cupcakes, cookies, and brownies!
“We are having our bake sale and it’s part of our fundraiser to fund our spring trip and buy new instruments etc. I really like orchestra because it allows me to make friends while making fun music” senior Janine Impat
The bake sale is a great way to get a sweet treat while supporting your school orchestra.
“We’ll have a bake sale every month this year. We’ve tried many different types of fundraisers to help support the orchestra and we’ve discovered that the bake sale help because they’re right here, they’re at school people can do them very easily and they’re fun! More people can come and it brings us together. All of us want to come and provide a chance for people to make goods and support the orchestra in that way and it’s just a way for us to get together and make money for the spring trip. All of the money that we make from the bake sale will go to support the spring trip so we’re very excited” orchestra teacher Ms.Marian.
The orchestra raised $142.81 from their first bake sale of the year. They are going to New York for their spring trip!
“The orchestra bake sale positively affects orchestra because it brings everyone together, even people who aren’t in orchestra. It shows awareness about orchestra and what we stand for, it’s the best way to define us as a community” sophomore Lauren Mills
