Class of 2019’s Wall of Honor debuts
This week, the Athletics Department put up the Wall of Honor in the jock lobby to acknowledge the efforts of the athletes of last year’s graduating class.
Student-athletes who earn this distinction are chosen for their innate ability to balance school along with participating rigorously in sports.
Recipients are nominated by teachers, coaches, and other members of the AHS community.
This year, 30 students were honored, all of whom participated in at least two sports.
“The point is to acknowledge and shine a spotlight on students who have worked hard in school and in sports,” Director of Student Activities John Ellenberger said.
