Theatre to hold interest meeting
The theatre arts program is holding an interest meeting for future participants from 3:00 to 5:00 PM tomorrow in the auditorium.
Attendees will have the chance to learn more information on upcoming shows and their auditions, the Improv Club, the International Thespian Society, and joining the Cappies Critic Team.
This meeting will also serve as a chance for all people who are interested in theatre arts to get to know each other and make new friends. People who are not currently enrolled in the theatre classes are also welcome to join.
“The goal is to engage as many people in the community as possible. I’m hoping to get people who don’t do theatre to attend and encourage to join,” Theatre Arts teacher Katherine Brunberg said.
This year, the program plans to hold the usual fall and spring plays in addition to one-act performances in the winter.
This year’s fall show is titled For the Love of Three Oranges and will be held from Oct. 25 through Oct. 27.
“It was originally in Italian. My friend, who is also guest directing the show, translated it herself, so it will be an original adaptation,” Brunberg said. “It’s like a fairy tale, but it’s very silly and funny.”
Anyone with questions regarding the interest meeting or the theatre arts program should visit Brunberg in room 324.
