There is no worse feeling than the bus being late and not knowing when it is going to arrive, especially for parents with young children. 

Thankfully, FCPS is launching the Here Comes the Bus app this school year. 

Set to launch tomorrow for the first day of the school year, the app tracks the buses’ arrival and departure times in both the morning and the afternoon.

Parents are to enroll with their SIS accounts so that the app can send real-time bus locations via text and email. 

FCPS says that a pilot program was conducted and found to be successful, and that app communications are secure.
