A World Cup is played every four years, in 2018, Russia is where the next World Cup will be taking place. The countries who classified have already been placed in groups. The World Cup will kick off with the first game being in June 14, Russia going up against Saudi Arabia. The World Cup is famous because Brazil has won this event the most and also being the only team to have played in every tournament. Other countries to win Germany, Italy, Argentina, Uruguay, England, France and Spain.
In the Conmebol which is the South American teams Brazil managed to come first with 41 points and Uruguay managed to come second with 31 points. Than Argentina who wasn’t looking to good managed to still classif third with 28 points and colombia fourth with 27 points. Than peru fifth with 26 points but than peru had to play another game to see if they could classif against New Zealand which they won 2-0. But Peru chances of winning have diminished because of a players action. This is Peru’s captain and best striker Paolo Guerrero whomst’ve been tested positive for cocaine in a doping control test for the World Cup. Out of the five other countries the one that had a best chance but didn’t classif is probably Chile.
In Europe they do things different for qualifications they do groups from Group A-I. In
group A france came first with 23 points, group B Portugal with 27 points, group C Germany with 30 points. Group D Serbia with 21 points, group E Poland with 25 points, group F England with 26 points, group G Spain with 28 points, group H Belgium with 28 points. Group I Iceland with 22 points. Than teams that came second had enough points would play again there were 8 teams. Switzerland beat Northern Ireland, Croatia beat Greece, Denmark beat Republic of Ireland, Sweden beat Italy.
Africa also does groups they have group A-E. Group A Tunisia came first with 14 points, group B Nigeria came first with 13 points, group C Morocco came first with 12 points, group D Senegal came first with 14 points, group E Egypt with 13 points.
Asia does groups as well after they narrow it down to the best. Only groups A and B. Group A Iran classified first with 22 points than South Korea second with 15 points. Than in group B Japan came first with 20 points than Saudi Arabia came second with 19 points than australia came third with 19 points but before they could classif they had to play Honduras and end up beating them.
In Concacaf Mexico came first with 21 points, Costa Rica second with 16 points, Panama third with 13 points, Honduras coming forth with 13 points as well but Honduras couldn’t classify just like that they had to play Australia and end up losing.
