Emprial spotlight
It all started with a single statement: Wait On It. Emprial Inc. was initially founded and started up by two senior students: TJ Ullah and Abu Kargbo.
As time went on and the company started to demand more effort, they adopted four other members. Julius Miller is the head designer of the company. Janu Gellert is the co designer, assistant financial advisor, and event coordinator. Dinh Matthew is the head of financial advisory and social media management.
Nick Sarath is the technical advisor and brings designs to life.
“”Abu and I always wanted to having something like this,”” Ullah said. “”I didn’t imagine that it would come to life but with the great people we have on board it has become a reality.””
In mid August, the board of Emprial started discussing how they could take their company to the next level. They created accounts on Twitter, Instagram, and gmail for business inquiries. It seemed like the internet would be the main component in the expansion in their company.
“”Twitter was the first place we took the company,”” Matthew said. “”Social media is so big in promotion of upcoming companies, especially in high school where people are always checking Twitter or Instagram.””
Come late September, Emprial started talking to the community. They tweeted out about their up and coming photo shoot, in search of models.
“”Looking for two models for our first shoots of the tees dm if interested.””
Within minutes, their direct messages were blowing up with people bearing interest towards the recently announced model positions. In the end, two models turned into eight. This was all before the concepts had even been brought into a physical product.
“Our concepts were initially rough,” Gellert said. “Eventually, with the help of Nick, Julius and I, everything started to look cleaner and more composed.”
They discussed just putting their logo on a long sleeve shirt, centered on the chest. This then developed into hoodies, and various other ways of displaying their brand. It all came down to what looked the best for the smallest cost.
“I was initially using low quality programs or hopping on CustomInk and using their design program,” Sarath said. “I shifted over to Photoshop and the next thing I knew we were already contacting a manufacturer.””
The company plans to further develop through manufacturing their products. They want to set their shirt colors in correspondence to the seasons.
Such as dark tones for winter and fall and light for spring or summer. Their first drop is set to be on October 28th.
“”The future of Emprial is looking very bright from what we all can see,”” Kargbo said. “”Just wait on it.”
