Report cards released, third quarter begins
Students have been anxiously awaiting their report cards since returning back from their long weekend on Tuesday, February 3, the start of the third quarter.
Thursday, Jan. 29th marked the end of the second quarter for all AHS students and faculty members. Second quarter is the longest quarter of the year, and although it includes winter break, students have lots of work to complete. On top of all of those things, second quarter also includes midterms, which many students study for during this time.
Nevertheless, some students are happy with their grades that they have received for this quarter, which were delivered during W4 on Feb. 2nd.
“I was very satisfied with my grades because they all improved from 1st quarter,” Sophomore Karla Mejia said. Mejia only had one midterm; in her chemistry class.
By now, most students have adjusted to their classes and are aware what it takes to earn better grades in their classes. Everyone hopes to end the year on a high point
Unfortunately, some students were not completely pleased by their report cards.
“I liked my grades this quarter, but I felt like I could have done better.” Junior Shank Rai said. “I definitely plan to work harder during the third quarter.”
The third quarter started on Tuesday, Feb 3rd and it ends on April 16th, giving students about 2 months to work hard to either raise their grades, or maintain their A’s and B’s.
