AHS holds Homecoming pep rally

Students participate in the Homecoming pep rally

Each year, Leadership students eagerly prepare for Homecoming week. They plan spirit days for everyday leading up to Friday’s pep rally and football game.

This year, however, there were some changes made to the pep rally festivities.

“We changed the pep rally to have a lot more students involvement and to try to make our pep rally very uptempo and fun,” senior Nina Fairman said.

“We tried to make it more class involved because last year we felt there could have been more of that,” senior Beza Yoseph said.

Leadership did an excellent job at getting all the students involved during the pep rally. The students came to the pep rally ready to cheer for their class, the fall sports players and AHS.

Planning an event of this caliber takes a lot time and effort on the part of the Leadership students.

“I think the pep rally went well and we prepared for a while from picking what we were going to do activity wise to the class sing along,” Yoseph said.

“I think it went very well, we stayed on track with our time and everyone was excited, to prepare for the pep rally we had to come up with ways to involve the teams and make it a special pep rally for all the seniors,” Fairman said.

Students who participated in the pep rally had a lot of fun as well.

“The pep rally was better than all the other ones that I’ve been to because the students were more alive and participated more and showed lots of school spirit,” senior Alex Cruz said. “Leadership did an excellent job organizing the pep rally and being on the court for homecoming king my senior year was good I guess.”

This years pep rally was planned to make sure that all the students at AHS could participate and feel that sense of family that comes with Atom Pride.

“We hope everyone was hyped and got excited for the homecoming game as that the fall sports teams are going to do next,” Yoseph said.
