The Class of 2013 held a week long fundraiser at the new Mexican grill, Buenos Grill, which is located in Annandale right across from Silverado. A portion of the sales from the food purchased by students, parents, and teachers from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. from Jan. 7 to Jan. 11 goes to the Class of 2013.
“I hope the money [earned] goes to our graduation. It’s an important day for all of us and it should be great,” senior Filiberto Sanchez said.
The restaurant is similar to Chipotle. They offer a buffet style preparation table assembled with a choice of tacos, burritos, burrito bowls, or a speciality item off the menu. They offer a choice of rice, beans, meat, and condiments.
“The food was way better than Chipotle. I loved the guacamole and I usually hate it,” sophomore Katherine Mendoza said.
Buenos Grill is located off Columbia Pike after the Juke Box Diner.
“We’ve done a great job raising money. Mid- way through sophomore year we could pay for our prom. Noah was good at staying on top of things and making sure if we needed something we got it” senior Nora Kennedy said.
