Many teens search and scour for jobs in the summer. According to a report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics from several years ago, this is no rare phenomenon.
Nine summers ago, 9.3 million teens were employed or looking for work. 5.4 million teens were in summer school, whether in remedial summer school, or voluntary summer school to complement their studies during the regular academic work.
However, the scene looks bleak. The number of teens employed every summer decreases steadily. From the time this study was conducted alone, the number of teens employed decreased by nine percent.
