AHS Students Walkout 3/14
Students walked out of classrooms on March 14 all across the world. Students did this in support of the victims of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Students walked out of classrooms at 10 a.m. and stayed outside for at least 17 minutes. One minute for each person killed in the school shooting on February 14. Students had signs and yelled chants. Several students from AHS spoke and read the victims names. Teachers were not allowed to walkout, but this video shows how government teacher, Megan Padgett feels about the walk out. .
