Student Prepares for Heritage Night Festival
Students put in the hours as preparation for the annual Heritage Night Festival begins. With over 10 performances and 10 cultures represented in the fashion show component of the performance, participants rush to complete their final touches.
Among the many groups include the Habeshas, who plan to perform a traditional Ethiopian and Eritrean dance that will accurately represent the complexity and multitudes of their culture. In order to give a performance of a lifetime, they practice at least once a week at four to five hour intervals.
In addition to the individual group practices, Leadership holds several practices that will assist in the preparation of the fashion show. Heritage Night will be held on March 16 at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium. Come watch and support AHS as they showcase the diversity of the school!
