During this fall season, concerts are booming in the DMV. On September 21st, Echostage in DC hosted Lil Yachty on his “The Field Trip Tour”. This tour features songs from his new album, “Let’s start here” as well as old classics such as “Broccoli” and “Strike (Holster)”. Senior Marlon Garcia attended the concert and commented on it saying “I bought the tickets the day of the concert and I’m so glad I did. I had never seen anything like it before. The visuals and audio throughout the concert were so amazing that it seemed like art. It was a once in a lifetime experience that was truly unforgettable”. TV Girl performed on October 4th at the Fillmore bringing them back after 2 years to the DMV. TV Girl is best known for their seductive pop and retro hip hop sounds creating a derived indie pop genre. Senior Han Nguyen got to experience seeing TV girl perform and said “I was extremely tired from school, but I powered through with a caffeinated drink for the concert. It was so exciting, I got to hear my favorite song “Birds Don’t Sing” by TV Girl live!!”. Although the Lil Yachty and TV Girl concerts may have passed, there are still many concerts that are spread out through the month of October. The following week Daniel Caesar will be performing at The Anthem on October 15th and 16th. The Canadian singer and songwriter will be performing his popular R&B songs such as “Best part” and “Get you”. 2 days later, Faye Webster will be performing on October 17th and 18th at the 9:30 club. Faye Webster is an American singer and songwriter who is well known for her top hit songs “I know you”, “Kingston”, and “Right side of my neck”. This fall season is a perfect time to get your concert tickets, so don’t forget to buy them because it will truly be an experience to remember!
