Nicola Yoon, a new york times bestselling author, brings another one of her romantic books to life. A Sun is Also a Star is soon to be a major motion picture coming out on May 17th.  Yoon’s other book Everything Everything was made into a movie and became very popular in 2017.

A Sun is Also a Star is about Natasha finding love at a difficult time in her family’s life. Her family is going to be deported and she trusts science and facts. She doesn’t believe in destiny or dreams that will never come true. Daniel is a poet and believes in all the things Natasha doesn’t believe in. Natasha is saved by Daniel from getting hit by a car and tried really hard not to fall in love with him, but fate has something else in store.

The role of Daniel will be played by Charles Melton, an American model, and actor. He is known for being on Riverdale, the CW television show. The role of Natasha is played by Yara Shahidi, an American actor, model, and activist. She is known for her role on the sitcom Black-ish and its spin-off series Grown-ish.

Many of the Annandale Students can’t contain their enthusiasm after seeing the movie trailer.

“Everything Everything is one of my favorite books and I was really impressed with the movie. When I found out that A Sun is Also a Star was becoming a star I was very happy,” junior Jennifer Sanchez said.

“I have feeling that this movie will be better than Everything Everything because of the actors. I can’t wait to see this movie in May,” freshman Stephanie Manco said.
