Luke Bryan Concert Review

Girls from all across Maryland and Virginia scream as one of the biggest country stars in the business comes on stage and starts to belt out Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye.
Luke Bryan, winner of the Entertainer of the Year award at the CMA’s, definitely earned his title during his concert at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in his Dirt Road Diaries tour. With an incredible setlist of songs and openers that made the crowd get excited, it was a concert I will never forget.
Opening for him, Thomas Rhett (or Atkins) and Kelleigh Bannen were both two incredible artists who really knew how to get the crowd going. From a list of songs that included their own but also a covers including a popular song called Radioactive by the Imagine Dragons.
With his new album out called Dirt Road Diaries, you would expect for him to play his songs from this new album. Confused, I realized that he kept most of his setlist in his older and more popular songs while throwing some new songs in the middle of the older ones. Being a big fan of the new Luke Bryan album, I came out a little disappointed because he didn’t play some of his new and extremely catchy songs.
What I did like about his setlist is that he added covers of songs like Dynamite by Taio Cruz and Enter Sandman by Metallica into his setlist and songs which was, in my opinion, really cool. Because it was strictly Luke Bryan songs.
The best part about the entire concert was the atmosphere of the show. Luke Bryan was so calm and relaxed and he just seemed natural on stage. Whether it was how he was interacting with the crowd by taking selfies or feeling at home and having a drink with the audience. He knew what he was doing on stage and you could tell that he enjoys performing in front of a huge audience.
I give Luke Bryan a A- because he was so much fun to listen and sing along with, but his setlist was all old songs and he didn’t showcase anything new.
