Many turn to Netflix in order to watch their favorite shows, but now Netflix has made their own show only for subscribers.
The series, House of Cards, is a political drama portraying Kevin Spacey as South Carolina Democratic Congressman Francis “Frank” Underwood.
Underwood and his wife, Claire, played by Robin Wright, scheme and take revenge on everyone who had done them wrong throughout their lives. The full first season is now on Netflix and the second season is filming now.
The show’s plot is already extremely serious, but Spacey’s believable Southern accent and dark personality create a dynamic character from the first few minutes of the show.
One of the main problems of the show is that it is based on politics, something that not many high schoolers are interested in. Also, the many characters and the constant scheming of each of these characters tends to confuse the watcher. Although the plot is fast-paced , the actors and actresses make this show quite entertaining to watch. Kevin Spacey’s wife, Claire, has a sweet, yet cunning personality that makes her a more dynamic character.
In all, the show’s dark plot keeps viewers intrigues but the constant scheming throws people off. I would recommend the show to anyone who has any interest in politics, if not, this is definitely not the show for you.
