Tape painting DIY

Create geometric paintings without worrying about coloring outside the lines in this simple tape painting DIY tutorial.

 

Materials:

a canvas
spray paint (optional)
masking tape
acrylic paint
paint brushes

Process:

Gather your materials. If you want your painting to have a background color, spray your canvas that color now. Let dry.
Place strips of tape on canvas to form geometric shapes, an abstract look or a pattern.
Paint your taped-off sections with different colors. Let dry.
Remove the strips of tape. Your DIY tape painting is complete!
