Have a photo op with your family and friends with this easy DIY photo frame. Be green for the holiday and the planet by reusing old photo frames and cardboard. This project does not require a lot of work and is a fun activity with young children. Show some holiday spirit and complete this project that’ll last for years to come.
Materials:
- Large photo frame (at least 30.5” x 26” or bigger)
- Cardboard
- Red, yellow, green, blue, purple and black paint
- Red, yellow (or gold), green, blue and purple glitter
- Heavy duty scissors
- Hot glue gun
- Foam brushes
- Popsicle or craft sticks
Instructions:
1.) Take the cardboard pieces and cut out a hat, pot of gold and rainbow.
2.) Paint your rainbow. After painting one color, add the corresponding glitter while the paint is still wet. Repeat each step until your rainbow is complete.
3.) Next paint your hat. Be sure to add the buckle. Paint your hat and buckle. Remember to add glitter while the paint is still wet.
4.) Wait for the paint to dry.
5.) Once dried, hot glue your popsicle/craft sticks to your pieces.
6.) Let the glue cool, and then glue the other end of the popsicle/craft sticks to the frame.
7.) Once the glue is dry, you’re finished.
