Stu, determined to have a calm, fun-less night, demands a bachelor party on the beach with his future brother-in-law and three best friends. No alcohol. No roofies.
As expected, somehow they end up in a filthy hotel, with no memory, and this time, no future brother-in-law. With the most obvious differences, the details and plot stay mostly the same. Despite this, viewers shouldn’t mind because of the lovable characters, especially Alan, who is portrayed by the consistently hilarious Zach Galifianakis. Director Todd Phillips delivers another hit, with the second part receiving well over $137 million in its first weekend out.
Some may say it was like watching a revised version of the first, but no one can deny that it made them laugh until their stomachs hurt! With no one but Alan left unmarried, viewers may be able to hope for a part three, but until then, part two will keep you satisfied no matter how many times you watch it. Phillips receives a solid A for Hangover Part II by topping the original, which was one of the greatest R-rated comedies of all times.
