The Winter Coffee House was a Success
The Filament Literary Magazine held a Coffee House on December 18, 2019. It was from 3:30 p.m to 4:30 p.m. This coffee house included acts such as poems, short stories, and songs.
The price for admission was $5 and students that attend will receive extra credit to their English class. Students should talk to their English teachers to make sure that they’re extra credit will be accepted. Food and refreshments, cookies and coffee, were provided.
Coffee House is a safe environment where you can showcase your skills as a person without getting judged. People from all over the school come to these shows so that they can support friends, have a good time seeing the show and get extra credit on the way. Students should take advantage of this opportunity that can boost their English grade.
There were Annandale High School alumni present for this specific showcase which made the event even more special.
There were freshman recruits that recently joined this filament. “I came to this coffee house to support my friend but I think I will come back again because of how fun it was,” senior Melat Haimanot said.
